Marco plays guitar and sings to the passers-by in Simonis metro in Brussels since 1984, even knowing that his end is approaching. Two heart-attacks and cancer shook-up his bohemian busker’s life, but he didn’t give up music or painting. “I thank all the Saints for the life I lived” – he says with a bitter smile.

“Marco: a friend from Simonis” is a short documentary portrait of a dying man who’s full of life, a bittersweet story about music, ambition, success, and life

“Marco: a friend from Simonis” is in the official selection of the 23rd Edition of Religion Today Film Festival in Torino, Italy. It is nominated for the Special Jury Music Conservatory “F.A. Bonporti” Trento, award: Best Soundtrack and for the Special Jury CinemAMoRe, award: Peoples and Religions.
